A historical gem with challenges

The Carrington Hotel's old-world charm captivated me instantly. I reveled in the romantic ambiance and the delightful continental breakfast, which included delightful pastries and fresh fruits.

The lack of air-conditioning made for restless nights. I struggled with heavy luggage up the stairs, and the noise insulation was lacking, disturbing my sleep.

We enjoyed the spacious room, but the service at the bar was heaps slow, and the continental breakfast could’ve had more options. The staff were lovely, though!

What an unforgettable experience! The suite was gorgeous, especially the huge cast iron bath. The grand dining room was a delight, making meals feel special.

All good, meets expectations. Lovely reception and dining ambiance with captivating live music.

The heavy manual lift door is a workout!!! Stairs throughout made hauling bags annoying. The musty smell in shared areas was off-putting. Limited options for enjoying the front verandah left us feeling restricted in relaxing.

This beautiful hotel radiates old-world charm, from its stunning stained glass windows to the plush interiors that make you feel like royalty. I particularly loved the large, comfortable Premier Double Room that felt like a cozy sanctuary after a chilly day exploring the local sights. Each morning started deliciously with a delightful continental breakfast that set the perfect vibe for my adventures.

my one night stay exceeded my expectations with the stunning balcony room showcasing breathtaking views. the atmosphere was delightful, and the dining experience in the grand room complemented my stay perfectly. i especially enjoyed the continental breakfast that offered a variety of pastries and fresh fruits.

The fireplace in the lounge area created a cozy atmosphere (perfect for chilly evenings! ) and the lounge was filled with lovely fresh cut lilies that added a touch of elegance.

Can’t fault the property in any way.

The Premier Double or Twin Room was spacious, adorned with lovely furniture, and the bathroom was impeccably clean. Enjoying a delightful continental breakfast to start the day was a highlight, and dinner options included dishes made with Sicilian products that were truly exceptional. the absence of lunch availability for non-tours felt limiting, and the dinner portions were on the smaller side, leaving us a bit unsatisfied. While the historic charm is captivating, improvements in food service timings would be beneficial.

Had an awesome time with my friends at this heritage hotel. We loved visiting the nearby Three Sisters and wandering around the stunning gardens. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the location is super convenient with onsite parking. The staff was friendly and helpful.

One downside was the noise from the adjacent rooms. we could hear everything, which affected our sleep.

It was just a fitting option for a brief weekend stay in Katoomba with great value-to-price ratio. The friendly welcome and lots of parking made settling in easy. Enjoy a pint at the adjacent pub after a long day exploring.

We loved the vintage style of the hotel. it felt like stepping back in time. Super spacious room and the breakfast was decent! Just wish the bar had more creative cocktails. a memorable stay with friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere, perfect for exploring Katoomba.
